Pacific Gas & Electric Company (PG&E), delivers natural gas and electricity in Northern California. Records of their bankruptcy case can be found here.
Southern California Edison (Edison), delivers electricity in Southern California outside of Los Angeles and San Diego.
Southern California Gas Company (SoCal Gas), delivers natural gas in Southern California.
San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E), delivers natural gas and electricity in San Diego. SDG&E is owned by the same company as SoCal Gas.

Have a complaint about your local utility? The California Public Utilities Commission regulates monopoly investor-owned utilities, e.g., PG&E, SCE, SoCal Gas, and SDG&E, but not municipal utilities, such as SMUD and LADWP.
